NYEC 2006
okie. finally everything is over. NYEC 2006 was a success. oh wells depends on how you see it. it was successful as the participants did enjoyed it=)) it can be observed from their actions and stuffs over the 5 days. a pre camp n 4 day camp. yarhx. their feedback were also positive. very happy about it as our hardwork have really paid off. yeah! it was a failure because of the unhappiness that was inside the organising committee. it is quite sad to see that such things have to happen. but its over anyway. so. i dont know.
before the camp lots of preperation work have to be done. as the organising committe we stayed in school discussed stuffs. way before the camp we already have started doing our work. calling up sponsors. liason with companies. blah blah blah. learn some stuffs out of it. the week before that we have to print stuffs. sort out things for the camp. heh. was quite fun mingling with the organising committee while doing the stuffs.
hoho. saturday. pre-camp. NUS BINGO got no scissors. OMG!! wanted to get scissors from them also dont have. haha. okie never mind. the participants were enthu!! they came even before we started with the registration larhx. so we started registration. they went for briefing. the ice-breaker. did not really understand what is the point of the pre-camp. cause these can be done even during the camp. but its okay. then after that went to harbour front there buy things. haha. bought a tick-tock.
monday. start of the camp. reached school early. did all the preperation. and damn it have to wear the blazer which is damn hot!! yarhx. so things ran smoothly. nothing much happen. haha. got alot of food! pastries. we gave alot of people. gave cnny badminton teachers office staffs and students. haha. then still got nuggets. mcchicken. bread. haha. loads of them. then we played games. first game was lame i think. a team consists of 3 groups have to get the team to cross the 'river' by stepping on the numbers on the floor. the thing is that no foot should be out of the paper consisting the number and the must not be any breakages. then anybody which make any mistake will have to have the whole team to restart. the objective was to encourage them to question any queries. define their own success. well i think its quite lame larhx. but think they quite enjoyed it. after that was the game which wants them to build the tallest and stable structure that can hold the weight of a bball. haha. but there were more to it. there is also trading involve. haha. they can buy sell do whatever they want to get more resources. of course cheering can earn them those stuffs. haha. last game was the marble game. they have to use their non master hand to guide the marble through a maze where there are holes. after that its their legs. haha. very comical. debrief and bye.
tuesday. the day that i dread!!! the challenge scenarios were out and the teams have to do proposals on them to tender for it. so laptops were borrowed from the library. but cant use!! so we went to the computer labs. there mr tham never tell us cny book it for their media camp ler. so after settling them awhile the cnny came up!! then i found out from lynette and xin yu. alamak!! so we suggested that we shift larhx. but mr tham say use other computer labs. but there not all got chinese software. so cannot. so we wanted to shift. but mr tham say no! omg!! why why why!! he say mafan dont need to shift. then ask cnny to wait till we finish. but what the hell. they book ler mah of course give them larhx. so the big big chinese teacher came into the computer lab. then he and mr tham started their war. omg. then i dont know what to do larhx!!! so after that managed to settle the thing that we will shift to other labs ler. haix. what a day. then xin yu took my tick-tock! haha. then after that have to settle into different rooms for them to do their business proposal and their oral presentation. then i never eat for the whole day. heh.
wednesday. they have their oral presentation stuff lorhx. then was CEO game. dont really know much about it. cause was doing other admin stuffs and then help with the rehersals for the final day. oh and i lent xin yu the tick-tock this time. haha. she was sad so let her play with it.
last day. very fast over. food very nice!! haha. response from the participants was rather good. so it is a success.
failure? the relationship with teachers and sk side was very bad. haix. dont wish to bother about it. but it also cause many people to be displeased with one another. angeline with ingrid. the exco and jk. haix. why like that? think people tend to think too much? or too xiao xin yan over some stuffs bah. haix. so its over already. yarhx.
